AirAsia Flight 8501 Tail End At Bottom Of Java Sea, Black Boxes Pinged.

Published reports emerging from Indonesia claim that the AirAsia Flight 8501 that went missing on a 2 hour flight to Singapore has been found with its tail end intact at the bottom of the sea. The tail section of QZ 8501 is where its black boxes carrying flight data and fllight recorders are located.

The Indonesian Navy officials were on a hunt for the Black boxes to get an idea of what caused the AirAsia Flight 8501 crash and the tail end of the aircraft at the bottom of the Java Sea should have the missing links to decipher what went wrong on the ill-fated flight, thought to have gone down to 'icy' conditions.

Although the Black Boxes were pinged for detection, so far there has no response, leading Indonesian Navy officials to believe the flight recorders may be buried in the seabed.

AirAsia boss Tony Fernandez tweeted that if the tail end has been discovered, then the black boxes should have the information required to detail the crash trail. The tail end at the bottom of the Java Sea was found 55 miles from the search area, due to the winds and bad weather conditions engaged by the Indonesian navy and other search and rescue officials.

A picture of the AirAsia Flight 8501 lying on the seabed identifies the plane with the initials PKAC.
Nearly 100 passengers are still missing with just about 37 bodies found and identified to prepare proper burials for them. The search and rescue team think that the missing passengers are still strapped in their seats near the fuselage.

AirAsia has said that it will compensate families of flight QZ 8501. Each passenger will receive $100,000, in accordance with Indonesian laws.
