The attacks towards the expecting Grammy winner reportedly increased after her single "Something In The Water" recently topped country charts. The song speaks boldly about the blond singer's beliefs as a Born Again Christian.

Carrie Underwood issued a statement to address the criticisms.

"I'm not the first person to sing about God, Jesus, faith (or) any of that, and I won't be the last," she said.

"And it won't be the last for me, either. If you don't like it, change the channel."
