Many people were thrilled when they saw Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Martin Scorcese appear in an ad. The last time we saw the two actors together was in the moving drama "This Boy's Life".

The short film was shot in a glamorous casino in the Philippines called "City of Dreams" were both actors bumped into each other as they were about to enter the gambling paradise.

Award-winning director Martin Scorsese greeted the 40-year old screen heartthrob and the 71-year old Oscar winner. The competition started when they found out that they are both auditioning for the same role. However, it seems that another actor is vying for the role as it showed images of Brad Pitt flashed on a building's electronic screen.

The title of the Martin Scorsese short film that stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro is "The Audition." The short film is produced by James Packer's RatPac Entertainment and Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment.

The Independent reported that Angelina Jolie's husband took time off from his honeymoon to shoot some scenes in New York together with DeNiro.

Terrence Winter, who is the creator of HBO's "Boardwalk Empire" and writer of "The Wolf of Wall Street" wrote the script of the short film. The footage will be used to promote the expansion of Melco-Crown in Asia and all over the world.

Australian billionaire James Packer said that he wanted to bring the Western and Eastern culture together in his plans to expand the entertainment brand. Apart from promoting the new casinos, there were rumors that the short film will be a teaser for the Frank Sinatra biopic.

Martin Scorsese has showed interest in bringing the life of the legendary singer on the big screen. Screen Rant reported that Leo DiCaprio and Johnny Depp are being considered for the Frank Sinatra role. However, the director has other actors on his mind for the lead roles.

"I've had it in mind for a long time. Even the initial script is ready. I'm yet to spot the actor who can bring back Frank Sinatra alive on screen. My choice is Al Pacino, and Robert De Niro as Dean Martin," he told Hindu Times.
