Lindsay Lohan news reported that the "Mean Girls" star could still go to jail following her 2012 reckless driving case. According to Daily Mail, the troubled actress is still rushing to complete the community service required so she can avoid going to prison.

The former child star reportedly only has until January 28 to complete the remaining hours of her 30-day community service requirement. The order is in line with an incident back in 2012 wherein the former party girl drove her Porsche into an 18-wheeler truck .

The car crash took place at the Pacific Coast Highway, and the community service was issued in Los Angeles, California. However, Lindsay Lohan was reportedly allowed to finish the requirement in London in line with the Community Service Volunteers (CVS). The group is a London-based charitable organization that helps disabled and disadvantaged individuals.

Lindsay Lohan news previously reported that she had until November 6 to finish her community service requirement. She was eventually given a two-month extension, most likely since she has been busy with her West End debut, entitled "Speed The Plow."

However, a Lindsay Lohan news update from Daily Mail revealed that she has been absent from community service for 15 days.

Some speculated that it could have been due to her hospitalization after the "Speed the Plow" actress was diagnosed with the Chikungunya virus. The 28-year-old is said to have gotten the mosquito-carried acute fever spell after a recent vacation in Bora Bora.

The actress could only hope that she would be given another extension, since she could possibly go to prison for failing to finish her community service requirement after already receiving additional time last November.

Aside from the community service order, Daily Mail reported that Lindsay Lohan was also required to attend a rehabilitation facility for 90 days. She also underwent 180 days of psychiatric counselling.
