Dying Light PC Performance Fix: Increase fps With These Fixes! CPU Affinity Fix, Best Settings, SLI Stutter Fix, Remove Film Grain And Chromatic Aberration And More!

Dying Light isn't exactly a optimized at the moment but PC gamers have found some tremendous ways to help you increase your fps so that it doesn't dip below 30 or to help you maintain consistent 60fps at 1080p.

First of all, Nvidia recommends that you download the latest driver for your Nvidia card as well as updating the GeForce experience to get the best performance out of your GPU and to enable SLI.

To get a ton of FPS quickly, TotalBiscuit recommends that you put the view distance slider to minimum to literally double the frame rate you have right now as he displayed when the max setting of the view distance option cut his framerate in half despite not having almost any noticeable increase in image quality. He also notes that the lowest setting of the view distance still allows you to see enemies from far away so it is safe for you to lower this setting.

Meanwhile, to fix the game only using CPU 1 (thus not allowing all CPU cores to work at its fullest), "Ricin" has shared a method of allowing Dying Light to use all of the cores of your CPU.

"CPU1 is pegged at 100% usage because it is bugged like far cry 4 using 100% CPU3. Simply go to task manager, then to 'set affinity' and disable and renable the core. Presto no more 100% core usage. You will have to do this _every_ game play session." Says Ricin.

The method above would fix the stuttering in the game as well as some issues with SLI.

To disable film grain, Reddit user Dr. Spazz says:

-Go to Dying light located in your steam library folder: C: Program Files 86 / Steam / SteamApps/ Common/ Dying Light / DW

-With WinRar Installed open Data0.pak and extract it to C:\Users\"username"\Documents\DyingLight\out

-Then Open the out folder. You will see additional folders of data/logs/settings.

-Go to Data/ Scripts / and look for varlist_noise.scr

-Open notepad

-Drag the varlist_noise.scr file into it and change the 0.15 to 0.00. Hit save and leave the the Data0.pak where it is.

To disable Chromatic Aberration, fireundubh of Reddit notes:

-Download this file here

-Extract it to \Documents\DyingLight\

And that's it! Enjoy playing Dying Light with increased fps!
