Uncharted 4 Release Date Unpredictable; Naughty Dog Could Take Forever To Perfect New Release If They Wanted

Naughty Dog is working double hard to perfect Uncharted 4, and when it comes to its release date, they really don't want to promise something they can't commit to.  Afterall, they want to make a legacy in releasing the new title.

In a recent interview with Game Informer, Naughty Dog presidents Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra shared what it was like to work on the 4th installment, and why it's very tricky to commit a specific launch date as of the moment.

"We always try to put something out there with Sony where we think we can hit it," Evan said.

"Everyone knows that the process of making a game is very fluid and really unpredictable. Even if there is a date out there, it's with the huge caveat of, 'Well, if it's not ready, we'd rather ship a game that's late than a game that's not done.' If you ship a game that's late, people will forget the delay. But if you ship a crappy game, that's going to be there forever. "

"At the same time, you don't want a delay that's too far out because you can work on a game forever, if you want. People are such perfectionists here that they could polish for a very long time. It's not worth it," Christophe added.

The highly anticpated 4th and last installment of the popular video game franchise boasts of outstanding and realistic visuals.  And while some are currently not blown-away with the gameplay previews Naughty Dog has released, many are saying that the new game will be awesome on the next-gen console PS4.

Uncharted 4 release date is reportedly slated for summer of 2015. New reports are suggesting however that it's definitely a go on July 2015.
