Melissa Rivers news reported how Joan Rivers' only daughter will be paying tribute to the late "Fashion Police" host. According to a report from People, a new book to be called "The Book Of Joan" is set for release this May 2015.

The 46-year-old heiress of the TV icon's estate shared details about "The Book of Joan: Tales of Mirth, Mischief, and Manipulation".

"(The book) will share funny, poignant, and irreverent observations, thoughts, and tales about the woman who raised (Melissa Rivers)," said her publisher, Crown Archetype.

Melissa Rivers news claimed that her tribute to Joan Rivers will help her move on from her tragic Sept. 4 death. The iconic comedienne passed away at the age of 81 following a botched throat procedure at Yorkville Endoscopy.

Melissa Rivers has since filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the said Upper East Side medical facility.

"In our family we always believed that laughter was the best medicine," Melissa Rivers told news reporters.

"I wanted to write a book that would make my mother laugh."

"I hope it makes you laugh, too," she added.

Melissa Rivers news said that Joan Rivers' tribute book will contain anecdotes about growing up with her feisty mom.

One story was about how she was nine months old when her parents sent her as a gift to TV icon Johnny Carson.

The "Fashion Police" executive producer also shared how her mother made fun of teaching her math lessons.

"I can do tips and discounts and figure out the number of gay men in an audience to make it a good show. That's all the math you'll ever need," Joan Rivers supposedly said.

The publisher of the Joan Rivers' book shared more details about the tribute, which will be released this May 2015.

"These were just the tip of the iceberg when it came to life in the family that Melissa describes as more Addams than Cleaver," her publisher told People.

"And at the center of it all was a tiny blonde force of nature."
