The Royal Highness Princess Anne visited communities affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan on March 18.

Rappler reported that Prince Anne, the Princess Royal of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, visited some areas that have been affected by Super Typhoon Haiyan.

Princess Anne has been into several communities which Save the Children, the charity of which Her Royal Highness is President in the UK, has been supporting since Haiyan hit Philippines in Nov. 8, 2013, particularly in Eastern Visayas to recover from the tremendous destruction of the storm.

According to Save the Children Philippines official Facebook page, Princess Anne, the only daughter of Queen Elizabeth II, has been welcomed by the typhoon survivors in Tagaytay in Kananga town with a song and other performances.

The 64-year-old Princess arrived in the Philippines on Tuesday, March 17 for a 3-day visit where she met President Benigno Aquino III and Vice President Jejomar Binay. Her Royal Highness visit focused on her humanitarian work, particularly for children.

Anne's first visit was in 1990 which is part of the UK and the Philippines to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the Country Director for Save the Children Philippines Ned Olney said that Princess Anne visiting the community will boosts encouragement to the survivors who are still recovering from the disaster.

"Having Her Royal Highness visiting Save the Children projects is a huge boost to the staff and communities who need to be reminded that they're not forgotten after such an incredible process of recovery across the country," said Olney.

Save the Children is an international non-government organization that helps children realized their rights and help them fulfil their potential.

Typhoon Haiyan was one of the strongest tropical cyclones ever recorded in the Philippines with and more than 6,000 people perished.
