Model Cara Delevingne is reportedly being eyed by film executives to be part of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, according to Daily Star.

The publication writes that the movie's writers wanted to include Cara Delevingne in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel to join Jamie Dornan, who played Christian Grey, and Dakota Johnson, who portrayed Anastacia Steele.

"Cara is wowing in her performance in Pan with Hugh Jackman and E.L. James loves the idea of her as name being in the next movie," an insider was quoted as saying.

There is no confirmation yet with regard to her role in the sequel, but it is rumored that she might be Christian Grey's former submissive before Anastacia Steele, Leila Williams.

Delevingne recently starred in the Michael Winterbottom's film "The Face of an Angel," which is based on a true-story of Amanda Knox.

In related news, original "Fifty Shades" director Sam Taylor-Johnson has reportedly announced her exit from the movie.

"Directing Fifty Shades Of Grey has been an intense and incredible journey for which I'm hugely grateful," she said in a statement.

With the absence of a director, reports indicate that the second instalment of the film, titled "Fifty Shades Darker," will still continue, as the lead actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have already signed a contract, according to Venture Capital Post.

The film is expected to start production in early 2016 and it might be released in 2017.

As of this writing, the Universal has not confirmed rumors with regard to the new characters who will be included in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel. "Fifty Shades of Grey" thrilled fans when it was released on Valentine's Day of 2015. The film's budget was only $40 million and, yet, the film has impressively earned up to $556 million since its official release.
