Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin made their divorce official as the former power couple filed documents stating their mutual agreement on the terms of the split.

The Associated Press, in a report, confirmed that the "Iron Man" actress filed the divorce papers at the Los Angeles County court on Monday.

Gwyneth Paltrow cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce from Chris Martin. They were together for 11 years before the split.

The couple has two children together, Apple and Moses.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin released a statement in March last year announcing their "conscious uncoupling."

"It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate," the statement read.

Previously, Daily Mirror reported that the couple has "instructed lawyers to divide the custody of their two children Apple and Moses, as well as their £80 million fortune."

"They have vowed not to go to court or make a 'big deal'of their separation but will instead make arrangements 'quietly,'" the article said.

Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, however, remained friends despite the divorce as they make it a point to active co-parents to their two children.

"Since introducing the idea of 'conscious uncoupling' to the lexicon, the parents of 10-year-old daughter Apple and 7-year-old son Moses have been schooling the world on the subject of amicable breakups," said E! News.

"Spending tons of time together as a family (they were all together in the Bahamas right after the split announcement went out!) and even supporting the other when it comes to dating."
