BlackBerry Leap Now Available In Canada; Device Can Be Purchased At Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless, Sasktel And More!
The BlackBerry Limited BBRY has launched its latest phone the Leap in Canada, according to Market Watch.
The BlackBerry Leap in Canada will be available from Rogers Wireless, Bell Mobility, Sasktel, TELUS, WIND Mobile and ShopBlackBerry.
In addition, the device will be available as well in select Tbooth wireless and WIRELESSWAVE locations starting on May 7.
"With the introduction of the BlackBerry Leap to the BlackBerry 10 portfolio we continue to provide products and services that meet the needs of consumers and enterprise customer in Canada," said Jaime Leverton, vice president, carriers for BlackBerry.
"The BlackBerry Leap is an affordable all-touch smartphone in a modern and powerful design that is built for career builders and companies who value security and privacy when being productive."
The company has also introduced three new Accessory Value Bundles available today on ShopBlackBerry. The bundles include the BlackBerry Leap Efficiency bundle, Travel Bundle and Power Bundle.
Specs wise, the according BlackBerry official site, the Leap has 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 that translates into 294 ppi.
The device is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 8960 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz with 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB flash, which can be expanded up to 128 GB via MicroSD card.
Moreover, the Leap runs on BlackBerry 10 operating system and offers BlackBerry software that brings power to the user's phone to the computer or tablet.
In terms of camera, the BlackBerry Leap has 2MP front-facing camera with 3x digital zoom and 720p HD video recording capability. The rear camera, meanwhile, has 8MP with auto-focus, video image stabilization, 5x digital zoom, 2DOF video stabilization and 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps.
As for the battery, the handset has 2800 mAh, which lasts up to 25 hours and up to 80 hours audio playback.
Also, the BlackBerry Leap offers a voice and text personal assistant that allows the user to manage their email, message, contacts, calendar and more.
