BlackBerry Leap Can Be Purchased In India Starting Next Week; How Much Will It Cost?
The Canadian company BlackBerry has disclosed that its latest smartphone, the Leap, will be available in India by next week.
"The device will be an entry phone for these professionals who can then further subscribe to BlackBerry's other services," said Sunil Lalvani, BlackBerry India MD, according to Economic Times.
The price for BlackBerry Leap in India has not been revealed yet, but various sources estimated the device might cost over Rs 20,000.
Furthermore, earlier this week, the company also disclosed that the BlackBerry Leap is available in Canada from Sasktel, TELUS, Bell Mobility, Rogers Wireless, WIND Mobile, ShopBlackBerry and select Tbooth wireless and WIRELESSWAVE locations beginning on May 7, cited Market Watch.
"With the introduction of the BlackBerry Leap to the BlackBerry 10 portfolio we continue to provide products and services that meet the needs of consumers and enterprise customers in Canada," said Jaime Leverton, vice president of Carrier for BlackBerry.
"The BlackBerry Leap is an affordable all-touch smartphone in a modern and powerful design that is built for career builders and companies who value security and privacy when being productive," he said.
Moreover, the BlackBerry Leap comes with the latest operating system, which is the BlackBerry 10.3.1 that incorporates updated icons and instant actions bars for the user to use.
It also feature security and maintain privacy that allows the user to feel safe as the device is "designed with the highest standards" of security in mind to protect the privacy of the user.
In addition, the smartphone features a BlackBerry Keyboard that allows the user to type faster and more accurately on the screen. It has BlackBerrry Blend, which brings content and messages from the user device to their tablet or computer.
As for the specs, the BlackBerry Leap has 5-inch HD display, 1280 x 720 resolution, 294 ppi, Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internal storage, 2MP front-facing camera, 8MP rear camera and 2800 mAh battery.
