"IRIS 2" END: Jang Hyuk Chooses Death to Follows His Father "Tragic Ending"

"IRIS 2" Jang Hyuk decides on death to follow his father Kim Young Chul.

The very last episode of the KBS drama "IRIS 2" featured Jung Yoo Gun (Jang Hyuk) making the decision to follow his father.

Yoo Joong Won (Lee Beom Soo) attempts to detonate the nuclear bomb in Seoul to start a war between North Korea and South Korea. However, IRIS agent Yoon Shi Hyuk (Lee Joon) shoots Yoo Joong Won to his death.

Regardless of his death, Yoo Joong Won set up the bomb so that it would explode automatically if he died. The NSS agents decide that the nuclear bomb should be dropped into the ocean. Jung Yoo Gun insists on taking care of the job himself for some reason.

Over the radio, Jung Yoo Gun tells Ji Soo Yeon (Lee Da Hae), "I was really happy that you were the person I loved." Ji Soo Yeon figures out what Jung Yoo Gun is up to and says, "Come tell me in person" and begins to cry while begging him to come back.

However, Jung Yoo Gun replies, "Soo Yeon, it's time for me to go now." He then says, "Father. I'm almost there. Wait for me. With mom..." and dies from the explosion from the nuclear bomb.

In the beginning of this episode, Jung Yoo Gun was traumatized after his father Baek San's (Kim Young Chul) death just after finding out about their relationship.
