Banksy's new pop-show Dismaland welcomes visitors into a dark decrepit castle,  a ready to be cooked merry-go-horse set and a few boats sailing on a pool full of refugees, reported NBCNews.com.

The Guardian describes it as a "Family theme park unsuitable for small children" since it features eye-popping displays.

Dismaland's official website, said that the pop-up show will be a "festival of art, amusements and entry-level anarchism" that would display the works of Damien Hirst and 46 other international artists.

The website also lists "Guerilla Island", a circus tent, mini golf and a cinema as its main attractions. Tickets for live Friday night events including an evening with Pussy Riot and Massive Attack also flashed on Dismaland's website.

BBC reports that Dismaland will run for six weeks. Although, a thousand people had managed to secure free tickets, when the remaining flashed on general sale, Dismaland's official website  crashed.

Banksy's spokeswoman told BBC that the site had received over 6 million hits by Friday. However, the UKBusinessInsider questioned the functionality of Dismaland's online ticketing portal.

On display are a distorted mermaid, a dilapidated fairy castle, a beach ball hovering over upturned knives and many twisted traditional fairground rides, reported BBC.

According to Sydney Morning Herald, the park is replete with "artist's subversive statements and epigrams on Western culture, the media, capitalism and extreme disparities of wealth".

In a recent, press release Banksy said, "It's (Dismaland) not a swipe at Disney". He added, "I banned any imagery of Mickey Mouse from the site. It's a showcase for the best line-up of artists I could imagine, apart from the two who turned me down."

"There are some warnings on the site, so beware of uneven floor surfaces, extensive use of strobe lighting, imagery unsuitable for small children and swearing," the Mirror shared.

NBC News said that a member of Britain's ruling Conservatives named Ashton was "put off by the authority theme (of Dismaland)".
