Nina Dobrev Aiming To Score Movies And TV Shows; Wouldn't Want To Return To 'The Vampire Diaries' With Ian Somerhalder?

Nina Dobrev's have been waiting for her to transition from doing TV shows to landing deals for movies ever since her departure from "The Vampire Diaries."

However, months after her exit from the popular series alongside her ex-boyfriend, Ian Somerhalder, the actress is yet to score any deals for movies and TV shows.

And there are rumors that out of desparation, Nina Dobrev is purportedly doing everything in her power to look for showbiz projects except one - returning to "The Vampire Diaries" where she would have to work with Ian Somerhalder, and possibly deal with his wife, Nikki Reed.

"Producers knew Nina would get a reality check and discover that it isn't easy to make the transition from television star to movie star, and cashed in the possibility Dobrev and her character would come back to TVD," Celeb Dirty Laundry reported.

It said, "Fellow cast members Kat Graham, Candice Accola, Paul Wesley, Michael Malarkey, and even Ian Somerhalder all teased a possible return of Nina Dobrev's character, Elena, at Comic-Con in San Diego. Nina's ex, Somerhalder, led the charge in answering the question of the possibility of Nina's return teasing that it could totally happen."

According to the report, the cast teasing Nina Dobrev's possible return to "The Vampire Diaries" is allegedly an indication that everyone knew from the start that it would be hard for the actress to land new movies and TV shows just like that.

"So far, Nina Dobrev's career hasn't taken off, but when the CW offered her a return to 'The Vampire Diaries,' she refused," the report continued.

"Who could blame her for refusing to work with her ex-boyfriend who dumped her for her friend, Nikki Reed, and then proceeds to indulge in childish behavior like unfollowing her on Twitter?"

It has been previously rumored that Nikki Reed is allegedly jealous of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. Some speculated that Nikki Reed prevented her husband from going to Teen Choice Awards recently because she doesn't want him to run into his ex.

However, it doesn't seem like Nikki Reed has a reason to be jealous, as Nina Dobrev is purportedly determined to find projects for movies and TV shows that wouldn't involve her ex-boyfriend.

A previous report claimed that Nina is already targeting a particular TV series to star in.

"One of the people who would love to get her hands on a role in 'True Detective' for season three is Nina Dobrev," a source told Hollywood Life previously.

"She has told her people to start talking to the right people and to get her into those meetings. She knows she has time since season two has just ended, but she wants to be first in line for when decisions are to be made."
