Stephanie Lee Says Goodbye To 'Yong Pal'
Stephanie Lee, who played sexy and intriguing character Cynthia, is leaving the drama "Yong Pal."
Cynthia, aka Shin Sa A, worked as a coordinator on the 12th floor of Hanshin Hospital. The hospital's 12th floor is reserved for only the most elite patients. But her character was obviously not content to earn a big salary for doing just that. She made deals that involved kidnapping and murder, including an attempt to kill Kim Tae Hee's character.
The Stephanie Lee character still appeared in the seventh episode telling Joo Won that she was leaving for America to study medicine and become a doctor. By the end of the seventh episode, it was also obvious that she knew that Kim Tae Hee's character was still alive and hiding under another identity. By the end of the eighth episode Cynthia will be gone and the drama will continue without her.
Her management company YG K Plus did not give any reason for her departure but did say her leaving will not negatively affect the plot. It is not known whether her departure was planned in advance or is the result of a decision reached while filming the drama.

Born in Boston, Stephanie Lee debuted as a model in New York. She walked the runways for top fashion brands such as Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Lanvin and Dior.
Stephanie Lee made her acting debut in the drama "Seonam Girls High School Investigators." In that drama she played the charismatic character Choi Sung Yoon.
And she managed to stand out in "Yong Pal," a drama that features Joo Won and the beautiful Kim Tae Hee. In "Yong Pal" Joo Won plays a goodhearted doctor who stoops to less than ethical means to raise the money needed for his sister's treatment. His character gets blackmailed into working on the 12th floor. Kim Tae Hee plays an heiress who has been imprisoned on the hospital's 12th floor because of a plot to regain control of the company. Joo's character and Kim's character become allies and he helps to set her free.
It is not known whether Stephanie will take other acting roles or plans to return to modeling. What did you think of her character?
