Caitlyn Jenner On Ellen DeGeneres Show: LGBT Icon Reveals Why She Opposes Gay Marriage

First-ever talk show appearance of Caitlyn Jenner on Ellen DeGeneres' NBC show "Ellen" would be aired on Tuesday. In the teaser clip "KUWTK" star, Caitlyn can be seen expressing her views on same sex marriage. She even told Ellen if she would date men or women when she would be ready to be in a relationship.

The world had first met Caitlyn, when her Vanity Fair Cover made the headlines. In her docuseries "I am Cait," she had talked openly about her transitions and how they had affected her life. During the show, Ellen pointed out that Caitlyn had made many public appearances as Bruce- but with a secret.

"So here's something that I read that I think is really fascinating and this is really gutsy of you," Ellen reportedly said during her show. She added, "You were doing these motivational speeches, you were traveling around the country and being a motivational speaker as an athlete and as an Olympian, and under your suit you were wearing a bra and pantyhose to feel like yourself."

Caitlyn admitted to it with a smile. She explained that no one had ever suspected Bruce to dress up as a woman. So, she "never had a problem."

When Ellen asked her whether as a former Olympian, she had ever thought of "coming out" in her earlier life. Caitlyn said that the timing was never right.

While Caitlyn Jenner was on Ellen DeGeneres show, she told that she went through a rough patch in the '80s. "I lived by myself for maybe six years up in the mountains, up in Malibu," Caitlyn said. "I never really left the house besides just to go to work. I was on hormones, [and] I thought for sure I would transition before I was 40 years of age, and I got to 39 and just couldn't do it. I couldn't go any farther."

She explained that she hadn't felt comfortable about going forward with her transitioning until recently. "There's nothing better than waking up in the morning and getting to be your authentic self," said Caitlyn Jenner on Ellen DeGeneres Show.
