"Fast and Furious 7" had smashed all records when it came to the business of movie-making.  There was a clear sign that "Fast and Furious 8" would surely happen. The new franchise would have more new faces along with the ensemble cast.

According to Day Herald, "Orange is the New Black" star Ruby Rose had been asked to be a part of Dominic's (Vin Diesel) gang in the upcoming "Fast and Furious" franchise. Reports also said that Eva Mendes would be portraying the part of Agent Monica Fuentes of the US Customs in "Fast and Furious 8."

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson would be back as "Hobbs" in "Fast and Furious 8." Reporters added that Jason Statham would be playing the role of "Deckard Shaw" in the upcoming franchise. "Salt" actress Angelina Jolie and Helen Mirren would also be a part of "Fast and Furious 8," with Paul Walker being the only one missing-in-action.

"I feel like it's time to evolve girls," cast member Michelle Rodrigues said.  She added," Let's stop hitting each other and let's stop fighting each other, and let's start getting together and ganging up on people."

Vin Diesel has announced that "Fast and Furious 8" would be the last "Comic Con" of the series, Youth Health Magazine reported.

Yibada reported that Paul Walker's brothers Caleb Walker and Cody Walker would be cast to play the role of Brian in "Fast and Furious 8." Reports said that Paul's character would remain the same in the upcoming franchise.

Paul Walker's younger brothers had been deployed as "stand-ins" to complete the shooting of the franchise, The Cinema Blend reported.  Reports said that smart CGI techniques would also be used to make Brian survive through the series.

Reporters said that Vin Diesel had suggested the forthcoming installment to be called "Fate" or "F8," which could be injected into the marketing campaign of the upcoming franchise. Directed by Justin Lin, "Fast and Furious 8" without Paul Walker is slated to hit the cinemas on April 14, 2017.
