‘True Detective’ Rachel McAdams Will Star In Marvel's ‘Doctor Strange’

"True Detective" Rachel McAdams has confirmed that she would be acting alongside Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Benedict Cumberbatch in the upcoming Marvel movie "Doctor Strange."

According to The Wrap, "The Notebook" actress had confirmed her casting at the Toronto Film Festival. Reports said that Cumberbatch would play the role of "sorcerer supreme" Dr. Stephen Strange, Tilda Swinton would be the "Ancient One," while Chiwetel Ejiofor would be the "Baron Mordo." "Hannibal" star Mads Mikkelsen had also been courted for a villainous role.

"I'm gonna go do Doctor Strange, kind of a psychedelic Marvel comic, with Benedict Cumberbatch," the "True Detective" Rachel McAdams told The Wrap. The "Notebook" actress kept the details about her role under a wrap. Rachel claimed that she "didn't know" if was permitted to say anything about the movie or not.

According to the Entertainment Weekly, the "True Detective" Rachel McAdams had been in discussions with Marvel about her role in "Doctor Strange." Shad confirmed her involvement on Monday. "Doctor Stranger" would be directed by "The Day the Earth Stood Still" director Scott Derrickson.

The Wrap reported that Kevin Feige, a Marvel Boss had said that "Doctor Strange" would "continue to push the boundaries of (Marvel's) climatic universe." He said that the "Guardians of the Galaxy" would follow the "Anti-Man."

Marvel Boss Kevin didn't have any footage for "Doctor Strange." He reportedly said that as the shooting would begin in November, he had just a "Concept art" of the film. Kevin also played a videotaped message from Benedict, who apologized for being unable to attend the Disney's D23 fan Convention held in August.

"Doctor Stranger" starring "True Detective" Rachel McAdams and Benedict Cumberbatch would be released on November 4, 2016.

"True Detective" Rachel McAdams is coming off on a Cameron Crowe's "Aloha" and a boxing drama named "Southpaw," which also stars Jake Gyllenhaal. Rachel is also shooting for  HBO's "True Detective Season 2." 

"True Detective" Rachel McAdams upcoming film "Spotlight" had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
