Square Enix’ 'Kingdom Hearts 3' Update: Developers End Remake Cycle With 'Kingdom Hearts II.8'

The "Kingdom Hearts II.8" would be released before Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3." According to The Latin Post, Disney and Square Enix' "Kingdom Heart 2" had been released in 2005, when PS2 was still trending. Reports said that since the franchise's last full title had been released 10 years ago, the new generation gamers might not be well versed with the "Kingdom Hearts" games. Reporters said that the "unfamiliarity" could prove to be disastrous for Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3."

Reports said that both the partners, Square Enix and Disney had been working on "Kingdom Hearts 2.9" for quite a while. However, the International Business Times reported that the company had announced that a "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" would be coming to PlayStation 4, before the release of Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3." The announcement had been made at Sony's pre- Tokyo Game Show press conference in Japan.

The Gamerant.com reported that "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" wasn't a new game. Reports said that it would to lead to Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3."

According to The Latin Post, Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3" would also include San Fransokyo from the "Big Hero 6" franchise. However, there is no news about how the mash-up would happen.

Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts III," would be a feature a multiplayer gameplay and enthrall the gamers with "new worlds from Pixar," Yibada reported.  Reports said that the information about the development of "KH 3" and "KH 2.9" had been leaked by a developer via LinkedIn.

The Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts III" is most likely to be announced at the D23 Expo in Japan, which would be held on November 6-7, 2015. Yibada reportedly said that "Tangled," "Hercules" and "Big Hero" would be a part of the upcoming franchise. Reporters said that "Frozen," "Wreck-It Ralph" and "Brave" were some of the worlds that had been suggested by the gaming fans.

Tetsuya Nomura, the game director told the reporters that the team had "finished the ground work" on Square Enix' "Kingdom Hearts 3." He added that the developers were focusing on adding new features and mini-games to the game.
