Kim Soo Hyun And Joo Won Are Actors Who Fans Want To Bring Home For Chuseok
On September 23, the Korean outlet Moneyweek published the results of a recent survey conducted by the mobile app, Cashslide. Kim Soo Hyun and Joo Won led the categories pertaining to male stars, while IU and Kim Tae Hee dominated the category for female celebrities.
The poll sampled 1,057 users to discover their thoughts on Chuseok, including the Korean celebrities they would most like to bring home for festivities surrounding the holiday.
The categories included celebrities that are daughter-in-law material, who male fans would like to introduce to their father. Female fans were surveyed to discover the stars they consider to be son-in-law material, who they would theoretically introduce to their mothers.
K-Drama actors dominated the list, with pop idols placing lower on the survey.
6.4 percent of women sampled selected "Producer" star Kim Soo Hyun as the star they would most like introduce to their father during Chuseok. Joo Won, who leads the cast of "Yong Pal," placed second with 4.9 percent. "Master's Sun" star So Ji Sub came in third with 4.2 percent.
Actor Ha Jung Goo followed with 2.9 percent. Endorsement king Lee Seung Gi received 2.7 percent of votes, tying "Descendants of the Sun" actor Song Joong Ki. Gong Yoo trailed with 2.2 percent, followed by Lee Joon Gi, who recorded 1.8 percent of the vote.
The survey reflected different results according to the age groups polled. Women in their 20s selected Kim Soo Hyun, while those in their 30s equally voted for Kim and Joo Won, giving both actors 6.9 percent.
Acting idols and starlets topped the results of male participants.
IU topped the list with 9.3 percent, followed by "Yong Pal" star Kim Tae Hee, who received 8.4 percent of votes. AOA's Seolhyun, who recently led the cast of "Orange Marmalade," received 6.1 percent.
"Oh My Ghost" star, Park Bo Young, was tied with Han Hyo Joo with both actresses receiving 4.3 percent of the vote. Miss A's Suzy received 4.1 percent, followed by EXID's Hani with 3 percent.
Park Shin Hye received 2.6 percent of votes, while Han Ji Min recorded 2.5 percent. The results closed out with Jun Ji Hyun, who received 2.3 percent of votes.
Chuseok is a major Korean holiday, which marks the middle of the fall harvest. Often referred to as Korean Thanksgiving, Chuseok is commemorated through time spent with family, as celebrants come together to reap the plentiful fruits of the harvest.
