'Secret Royal Inspector' Actor Kim Myungsoo Officially Enters the Military
"Royal Secret Agent" lead star Kim Myungsoo, also known as INFINITE's L, has officially enlisted in South Korea's Marine Corps to serve his mandatory military duty!
It wasreported on Dec. 28, 2020 that singer and actor Kim Myungsoo has decided to serve his mandatory military duty, to which his agency, Management Esang, confirmed by stating that the actor indeed applied for the Marine Corps and accepted to join.
And finally, Kim Myungsoo has officially entered the military in the afternoon of Feb. 22 KST. He will start his five weeks of basic training before his active service.
Kim Myungsoo Recorded a Special Video for His Fans
On Feb. 21, the actor filmed himself wherein he is sharing his goodbye message to his fans. The actor stated that he will do his best and work hard to show everyone his good image when he comes back after his military service around August of next year. He also asked everyone to remain healthy until that time.
Then, he shared on his official Instagram account his last selfie, titled "Part 1," which is expected that his "Part 2" would eventually be an image of him upon his return.

Kim Myungsoo in "Secret Royal Inspector" and Previous Acting Projects
Kim Myung Soo starred in the just concluded drama "Secret Royal Inspector," where he starred as the Secret Royal Inspector named Sung Yi Gyum.
The sageuk drama is set in the Joseon Dynasty era and will center its story on a special government position assigned by the King himself. This position is known as the Secret Royal Inspector, in which their job is to monitor and take down corrupt government officials while remaining undercover.
Sung Yi Gyum is the boy who ranked first in the state examination. He eventually got a job at the Hongmungwan (administrative and research department). Since he is a carefree man, he doesn't have any ambitions or goals in life.
One day, he was caught gambling, and as his punishment, he was assigned to work as a Secret Royal Inspector. He takes on his new job with the help of two characters, Hong Da In (Kwon Na Ra) and Park Chun Sam (Lee Yi Kyung).
South Korean singer and actor Kim Myungsoo was born on March 13, 1992. The 28-year old celebrity is also known professionally as L. He started his career in the entertainment industry as a vocalist of the boy band INFINITE in 2010 and its sub-group INFINITE F in 2014.
Kim Myungsoo made his acting debut in 2011 through the Japanese drama "Jiu Keishicho Tokushuhan Sousagakari," which aired on TV Asahi.
This was then followed by numerous acting projects, namely "What's The Deal, Mom?," "Master's Sun," "Cunning Single Lady," "My Lovely Girl," "My Catman," "The Day After We Broke Up," "The Emperor: Owner of the Mask," "Ms. Hammurabi," "Angel's Last Mission: Love," "Meow, the Secret Boy," and "Secret Royal Inspector."
