‘Police University' Stills: f(x)'s Krystal, B1A4’s Jinyoung Transform Into Police Freshmen for New Drama

Upcoming K-drama "Police University" showed f(x)'s Krystal and B1A4's Jinyoung's tough side as the duo transformed into police undergrads. 

KBS released a sneak peek for the forthcoming rom-com flaunting the stunning visuals of the lead stars.

In the new stills, the female idol-actress, whose real name is Krystal Jung, embodies a passionate police freshman donning a sleek uniform.

In the other teaser, the 26-year-old beauty wore a judo suit while sporting a serious expression.

"The police uniform looks perfect on you," the caption reads.

Meanwhile, her co-star Jung Jin Young, widely known as Jinyoung from B1A4, boasts a contrasting appearance as seen on the "Police University" teaser.

Based on the first still, the k-pop idol looked dapper in a police uniform that displays his determined charisma.

On the other hand, the second teaser flaunts the geeky side of Jinyoung, wearing a school uniform as he sits in front of his laptop.

"Police University" Cast and Release

Directed by Yoo Kwan Mo and written by Moon Jung Min, whose famous works include the 2018 drama "Matrimonial Chaos," the upcoming KBS series follows the story of two university students and their challenges as police undergrads.

f(x)'s Krystal plays the role of Oh Kang Hee, a freshman in the police academy, who is driven by her dream to become a full-fledged officer.

In the drama, her character illustrates someone who is competitive and has a strong sense of purpose.

Meanwhile, the B1A4 member portrays a former hacker named Kang Sun Ho.

After meeting the veteran detective Yoo Dong Man, played by Cha Tae Hyun, he then decided to turn his life around and opted to enter the university.

At the police academy, Kang Sun Ho meets Oh Kang Hee and accidentally falls in love with his fellow freshman.

With this, "Police University" will follow the budding romance of f(x) Krystal and B1A4's Jinyoung's character.

Aside from the singer-actors and Cha Tae Hyun, the drama also includes a roster of talented stars such as Yoo Young Jae, Hong Soo Hyun, Seo Ye Hwa, Choo Young Woo, and more.

With intriguing sneak peeks, fans will get to see the powerhouse cast as "Police University" is slated to premiere on July 26 and will be KBS' newest Monday and Tuesday drama.

Production Team Lauds f(x)'s Krystal and B1A4's Jinyoung for Impressive Acting Skills

Following the release of the "Police University" teaser, the production team went to praise the two lead stars for their portrayal as Kang Sun Ho meets Oh Kang Hee.

A representative lauded the singer-actress for showing her own character.

"It is expected that her girl crush charm and deep eyes will meet the character and show great synergy."

The same goes with Jinyoung, who has the "special ability to draw people's gaze to him."
