There have been rumors that Margot Robbie, who plays Harley Quinn in "Suicide Squad," have been engaged to her film director boyfriend, Tom Ackerley.

Australian Sun-Times reported that the Harley Quinn actress was recently spotted with Tom Ackerley looking at rings, leading some to believe that the "Suicide Squad" star will soon be getting hitched.

"According to some insiders, they'll soon be engaged," Media Mass reported. "The newspaper also added that people who claim to be close to the couple are 'convinced' an engagement is inevitable."

Despite the rumors, Margot Robbie and Tom Ackerley's camp is keeping mum about the possibility of an engagement.

Many fans are not surprised over rumors that the Harley Quinn actress is getting hitched. After all, the "Suicide Squad" star and the director have reportedly been dating for years.

As a matter of fact, Margot Robbie's mom Sarie Kessler doesn't mind having Tom as her son-in-law.

"She loves Tom, he's the one, he's the man in her life, he's a gorgeous and delightful person," Sarie previously told Daily Mail Australia. "They were friends and met while she was living in London, five friends together rented a house in Clapham, they loved it."

Some speculate that now may be as good time as any for the Harley Quinn actress to be engaged to her long-time boyfriend.

It has been rumored that just as Margot gains popularity in Hollywood, so does she earn more and more celebrity admirers. According tod various rumors, the Australian beauty has caught the eye of Will Smith, with whom she starred with in "Suicide Squad" and "Focus."

"Will Smith is so hot for Wolf of Wall Street sizzler Margot Robbie, he plunged into a jealous funk when her boyfriend Tom Ackerley showed up on the Toronto set of their Suicide Squad flick," Globe magazine previously reported back when Margot was still filming "Suicide Squad," as quoted by Celeb Dirty Laundry.

Irish Mirror has also previously reported that an Irish celebrity athlete, Galway hurler Jason Flynn, has appealed to the "Suicide Squad" actress via Twitter to be his date to the All-Stars.
