The 50-episode weekend drama "You're The Best Lee Soon Shin" ended on a positive note both in its storyline and with its ratings.

The drama's final episodes rated a healthy 25.6 and 30.1 percent. These ratings were lower than previous KBS dramas such as "My Daughter Seo Young" and "Unexpected You," but an improvement over the show's opening ratings of 22 percent.

In the final episodes, various plotlines were concluded in an optimistic and yet not convoluted way with the characters finding just, if not happy, resolutions.

The central story in the family drama concerns Lee Soon Shin, played by IU. Soon Sin is a girl who feels inferior to her two older sisters but who eventually discovers her own talents and has an opportunity to shine. Part of that self-discovery involves learning about her birth mother. Her real mother is a famous actress with some unresolved emotional issues. Lee Soon Shin must come to terms with the fact that her mother abandoned her. And her mother's continuing emotional issues cause Lee Soon Shin much pain. In the last episodes she forgives her mother, who in turn takes responsibility for the damage she has done.  Lee Mi Sook played Soon Shin's mother, Mi Ryung.

At the beginning of the drama Lee Soon Shin met Joon Ho, the president of an entertainment company. He scouted her on the street recognizing that she had potential. But when she told her family that she was scouted, they were not impressed. But he who laughs last, laughs best, and by the end of the drama, Lee Soon Shin has been recognized for her acting talent and is on her way to becoming a star.  Jo Jung Suk played Joon Ho. He becomes Lee Soon Shin's love interest and biggest fan.

The drama's large cast also included Yoo In Na playing Soon Shin's sister Yoo Shin and Son Tae Young playing Hye Shin. Jo Joo Won played Chan Woo and Jeong Woo played Jin Wook. Kim Yong Rim played Mak Rae.

The drama will be replaced with "The Wang Family" this weekend.

On the same nights viewer ratings for MBC's drama "Scandal" achieved 17.2 and 16.5 percent. The SBS drama "Goddess of Marriage" earned 9.4 and 9.7 percent. Among the variety shows, MBC's "Infinity Challenge" earned 11.7 percent while MBC's "Dad! Where Are We Going?" earned 18.2 percent, MBC's "Real Man" rated 17.5 and the SBS show "Running Man" earned 12.3 percent.
