Apple Music Now Plays On Android; Experience With The App Is Nearly Identical To iOS

Apple Music is now playing on Android grounds. Anyone on Android can already sign up for Apple Music beta for a three-month free trial as the service is already on Android as Apple promised in June.

Apple Music is now downloadable on the Google Play Store. With Apple Music, one can browse and play recent songs, listen to Beats 1 radio, access more than 30 million songs, get recommendations from music experts and more.

As a beta version, there are some light issues of Apple Music for an Android user. The music videos are still coming, sign up process will be optimized and upgrades to family membership requires iOS or Mac, reported iMore.

Apple has to put its streaming music everywhere to be competitive as the streaming service field is already crowded and has giants like Spotify. On Tuesday, Apple brought Music to Android as it needs to be everywhere whenever people want to listen. For Android users, Apple brings the same experience as it does to iOS users.

According to The Verge, the streaming service Apple Music on Android is almost identical to Apple Music on iOS, complete with features and functionalities. It runs smoothly and is doing a good job in such, considering it is Apple's first real Android app.

It appears the same with playback control, browsing curated playlists and setting up music  taste interface. Though there have been changes to make so it can run on Google's platform such as concealing the app's section in a side menu rather than in tabs on the bottom like it is on iOS. Fonts and icons are changed a bit as well.

Apple Music is not changing the game. Those who are already committed to Spotify for instance, there is not much to do about it. Apple just wants to be everywhere to make it handy for those who love it, and by so doing, declaring itself a serious entrant to the field of streaming music.
