KBS shared the latest stills of the 2016 drama, "Descendants of the Sun" during a KBS America broadcast of "K Story America."

An article published by Sports Chosun analyzed the production stills that were aired during the November 11 broadcast.

"Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki are eye-catching in the photos, due to their overwhelming visuals," said the Sports Chosun reporter.

In the latest production stills, stars Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are depicted with foreign children.

Song Joong Ki exudes a strong presence as Captain Yoo Shi Jin, a gun-toting leader for a Special Forces unit, who is tasked with maintaining order in the fictitious worn-torn nation, Uruk.

Song Hye Kyo is Kang Mo Yeon, a doctor who is dispatched along with the troops on a U.N. peacekeeping mission to Uruk, as a volunteer for Doctors Without Borders.

In the latest photos shared during the news segment, the stars oscillate between caring for a small flock of children and maintaining a militaristic image, as members of the United Nations force.

Sports Chosun went on to note the chemistry of the popular actors and the unique elements that have created growing buzz for "Descendants of the Sun."

"Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki have notable harmony and perfect visuals," said Sports Chosun.

"Descendants of the Sun" is the first production from KBS that will not use live-shooting. Unlike most K-Dramas, the action series will film all of its episodes prior to its anticipated air date of February 2016.

Directed by Lee Eung Bok, the script will benefit from the writing team of Kim Eun Sook (The Heirs, Secret Garden) and Kim Won Seok (The Queen's Classroom).
