Nintendo Direct Is Back With Games News: 'The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,' 'Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS' And 'Pokemon: Super Mystery Dungeon'

Nintendo's official video announcement on the latest games and news, Nintendo Direct, returned back on Thursday, November 12. After the death of Nintendo's last CEO Satoru Iwata on July 11, this was the first Nintendo Direct re-launch telecast. It started at 2 p.m. PST.

Iwata had been hosting Nintendo Direct before his demise. The new hosts of the show are Nintendo of America- President Reggie Fils-Aime and Bill Trinen of Nintendo Treehouse. The telecast did not discuss about the company's mobile game 'Miitomo' or its generation next NX console. The spotlight was on coming up titles for 3DS and Wii U.

Nintendo Direct Talked About The Upcoming Nintendo Games

The show began with details on "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess" HD for Wii U which is a re-recorded story of the GameCube title that came in 2006. It is being developed in collaboration with Australian developer Tantalus and is likely to launch on March 6, according to PC magazine.

The other announcement was about Hyrule Warriors for the 3DS which is set to be launched on March 26. The game will portray new characters of Skullkid from Majora's Mask, Linkle, female version of Link and King of Hyrule from Wind Waker.

With Pokeman being the most famous series, Nintendo has ample of releases in- hand for its fans. Few of the forthcoming titles include Pokemon: Super Mystery Dungeon featuring all 720 pokemon, Pokemon Picross and Pokken Tournament. There is also a re-release planned for the three Pokemon games: Red, Blue and Yellow accessible for downloading on Feb. 27.

The other updates were about the upcoming titles from Nintendo including Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash (Nov. 20), Xenoblade Chronicles X (Dec. 8) and information on "Star Fox Zero," set for Wii U for April 22, 2016 and "Mario & Luigi: Paper" Jam set for Nintendo 3DS for spring 2016, reported International Business Times.

Apart from the information on new games, there were updates on existing titles. Splatoon to add two new stages, Super Mario Maker to get "level portal" to let gamers browse Mario Makers levels online and Super Smash Bros will have Cloud (Final Fantasy 7) as a playable character.
