Actor Kim Seon Ho who was accused of tax evasion charges, this is his first-ever physical appearance as he was seen at the launch of Coupang Play's upcoming variety show titled "Bonjour Bakery," held on May 6 in Seoul.

This variety show will feature the creation of a dessert cafe for the elders living in a countryside village.

When reporters asked Kim about the tax evasion allegations, he avoided direct answers. Instead, he emphasized his dedication to the new project.

"This is a program intended to give and receive healing. It is a meaningful position, so I worked really hard. As this was a show to provide healing to the elderly, we had to approach it with the mindset that they were the main characters. I did my best every moment," Kim said, per Insight.

The allegations accuse Kim Seon Ho of operating a family-run corporation to evade taxes. His agency promptly denied the claims in an official statement.

Fellow cast members and the production team stood by Kim during the event. Co-star Kim Ranju said, "The space must've been difficult for the grandmothers, and so when they hesitated to enter, Kim Seon Ho approached them first. Thanks to him, the barrier for the elderly to enter was lowered."

Another cast member, Kim Hee Ae, added, "His image is that of a gentleman, but when he works, he reveals a powerful and masculine leadership," per Koreaboo.

Kim Seon Ho did not offer further comments on the controversy and focused on promoting the new series.

In separate news, Korea JoongAng Daily reported that Kim Seon Ho has paid additional personal income tax after facing allegations that he used a family-run corporation to reduce taxes on his entertainment earnings.

His agency, Fantagio, denied any intentional tax evasion, explaining that the company was created in 2024 to manage his acting and theater activities.

The agency stated that Kim later realized the corporation could cause misunderstandings, stopped using it, and is now in the process of shutting it down. They also confirmed that all taxes related to the company have been fully paid.
