During this episode, Park Si On (Joo Won) and Han Jin Wook (Kim Young Kwang) confess their love to Cha Yoon Seo (Moon Chae Won) and Na In Young (Uhm Hyun Kyung) respectively. However, they both get rejected and become heartbroken. The conversation the two men share later that night touched the viewers as it contained their honest thoughts on love and pain.

For Park Si On, it was the very first time he felt this way about someone in his whole life. Cha Yoon Seo whether she is his first love. She then says, "I am so thankful that you think of me as your first love... I love you a lot too... as a little brother type of way. That's love too." Cha Yoon Seo continues, "When some time passes, you'll feel more comfortable and we'll become closer like brother and sister." Park Si On replies, "I feel comfortable now that I've told you. It bothers me but I'm comfortable."

Han Jin Wook on the other hand tells Na In Young to stop working and adds, "I'll lend you the money. You can repay me in 10, no, 30 years." However, Na In Young replies, "Do you know how much a transplant surgery costs? It must be nice to have such a large amount of money like that. Find somebody who is a better match for you, Doctor, instead of me." She leaves him after giving him a cold look. Han Jin Wook had expressed his love for her the wrong way, which led to rejection.

Park Si On and Han Jin Wook lie in their bunk beds, both unable to fall asleep. Han Jin Wook suddenly asks Park Si On if he ever loved somebody. Already aware that Han Jin Wook had been interested in Na In Young, Park Si On says, "Don't you think you are more than a good catch? A good catch that has the right to love somebody? Somebody who is handsome and flawless, not to mention confident and never does anything embarrassing... and acts like an adult."

Han Jin Wook replies, "There is no such thing as a right to love somebody. Instead, when you start to truly love somebody unconditionally... you start to have a right to care for that person. Something only I can have. I'm going through all this trouble in order to get that right."

Park Si On tells Han Jin Wook that he confessed his love to someone as well. Han Jin Wook says, "You're better than I am. That person you confessed to.. you must really love her. I'm proud of you!" They both get courage from each other through their conversation.

People in the online community who saw this scene responded with comments like, "I feel like I was healed by listening to these two guys heal each other through deep talk lying in bed", "I hope both Joo Won and Kim Young Gwang both get their happy endings. Being doctors must be hard enough, they shouldn't have a hard time with love as well" and "I'm going to be waiting early tomorrow for the next episode of 'Good Doctor.'"
