Environment-Safe And Efficient Samsung 2015 Business Monitors Earn New-Gen TCO Certified Status

Samsung announced Friday its 2015 business monitors UE85, UD970, SE200, SE450 and SE650 earned the New Generation TCO Certified status. It is from international third-party sustainability certification provider, TCO Development, according to a post on SamsungTomorrow.

The certification program recognizes products which meet a set of criteria with regard to responsible manufacturing and exceptional environmental design. The certification is available in eight categories of business and consumer technologies and ensures that the processes of recycling, usage and manufacturing consider social, economic and environmental responsibility.

The TCO certification program also promotes technologies that are for safer and more ergonomic work conditions. Its program is a third party verification system for suppliers who want to meet the sustainable tech demand of buyers.

TCO Development TCO Certification program offers businesses and organizations a way to lessen environmental impact and enhance work efficiency. It announced the New Generation TCO Certified has started on Nov. 11, so purchasers and electronic brands will be able to take sustainable IT to the next level. The article on the website mentioned that it will certify other products like those coming from LG, Eizo, Plantronics, Lenovo and Dell.

As for the South Korean conglomerate, it claims its display solutions are designed to empower companies and bring more productivity to the work environment while never setting side its environmental and social responsibility.

All of Samsung's 2015 business monitors achieve the TCO Certified Display 7.0.  Verification of the products by TCO Development was through thorough testing. Samsung's most recent business monitors have PVC-free cables, the ones that do not emit substances hazardous to the environment. The SE450 and SE650 include a built-in ECO power off functionality which is 0.00W off-mode power.

Each monitor is made of 30 percent recycled materials, which is among the highest in the industry. The Samsung 2015 business monitor lineup also conform to the ergonomic and safe work standards. They include swivel, tilt, height-adjustable stand and pivot so users can rotate the screen and make adjustments to their comfort.
