Is Ziva David Making A Comeback In ‘NCIS’ Season 13?

Rumors are that Cote De Pablo might make a comeback as Ziva David in the popular drama TV series "NCIS" season 13.

It was after NCIS director Dennis Smith posted a groufie of himself with Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly) and Ziva David (Cote de Pablo) in a friendly get together that rumors of de Pablo's return in the show sparked, according to HNGN.com.

Weatherly retweeted this post to his Twitter feed with the caption: "Ok so how much fun did I have last night?" However, neither of them mentioned where the picture was clicked, reported Christian Today.

Also during an interview, Weatherly teased that later this year, there will be some guest stars coming over.

"I have come to understand that there will be, later in the year, some guest stars that will melt the avid NCIS viewer's brain," he said.

Although the actor never mentioned the name of the guest star, it was speculated that the guest will most likely be Cote de Pablo.

Cote de Pablo's unexpected exit from the show "NCIS" two years back left many fans disappointed, especially the "Tiva" couple supporters. The actress was, however, frequently spotted stating during interviews that she wished to return back to the series for some closure.

"I think the fact that they never killed the character off is very telling!" she admitted to TV Line. "Under the right circumstances, I think it could definitely be explored!"

The actress admitted that her exit from the show was "rushed."

"I would have liked a little bit of closure," she said.

"But I think all in all I could not be more blessed, because I got a chance to be with my 'love,' Michael [Weatherly, who plays Tony]. Any time you put Michael and I together there's going to be a spark, and there's going to be real honesty, and for that I am forever grateful. Because in that sense there was a sense of conclusion as far as what [the characters] felt for each other."

Earlier this fall, the show's executive producer Gary Glasberg confirmed in an interview to TVGuide that there will be some surprise appearances of people from 'NCIS' past, but Ziva won't be among them.

"NCIS" season 13 airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on CBS.
