The latest teaser for JTBC's new weekend drama "We Are All Trying Here" is getting a lot of attention because it shows the growing relationship between actress Go Youn Jung and actor Koo Kyo Hwan, who is 14 years older than her.

"We Are All Trying Here" is set to premiere on April 18 at 10:40 p.m. It also examines the idea of self-worth and human connection through a series of characters who are also fighting their own battles with the world.
A member of the production team highlighted the level of emotions felt between the two main characters. They said, "Please pay attention to the process in which two people, who had always stood still in anxiety, finally turn on the green light of 'safety' after meeting each other."
Koo Kyo-hwan plays Hwang Dong-man, a man getting ready to direct his first movie after 20 years, and Go Youn Jung plays Byun Eun-ah, a producer at Choi Film. People who see the preview think Hwang is tired when he cries out on top of a hill, but Byun Eun-ah sees it differently.
A Naver representative emphasized this point of view by saying, "She sees through the transparency of Hwang Dong-man, who does not hide his true self, saying, 'He seems like a person with a thousand doors all open.'"

The teaser also shows private moments of shared weakness, which show that the characters are giving each other a "green light" of comfort. According to TenAsia, the production team said, "You can look forward to the harmless synergy between them, who will become each other's only sanctuary."
Fans have liked the chemistry shown in the teaser and said that the age difference makes the relationship more interesting. Viewers are particularly drawn to how the characters navigate anxiety and emotional isolation while finding solace in one another.
Another Naver source talked about the actors' performances, saying, "Empowered by this sense of reassurance, the two lightly brush off the weight of their suffering and surge through the streets together, even after crying in agony."
The new series promises a mix of emotional storytelling and complex character relationships, with Go Youn Jung and Koo Kyo-hwan at the center of a story about trust, empathy, and personal growth.
