Shakira, Boyfriend Gerard Pique Sex Tape Untrue! Barcelona Player's Rep Denies Claims
Shakira and boyfriend Gerard Pique have been the subject of sex tape rumors lately, but FC Barcelona's defender's representative insisted that they are not true.
The sex tape rumor started when an article claimed that a former employee of Shakira and boyfriend Gerard Pique has threatened to release the compromising video if they don't fork over a huge amount of money.
Gerard Pique, who just won the best Catalonian player of last season, is reportedly earning almost $200,000 a week.
But a representative for the couple has issued a statement denying that a sex tape exists involving Gerard Pique and Shakira.
"The famous couple were reportedly being shaken down by a former employee who had gotten their hands on some homemade 'erotic content' of the two ... and wanted a 'big sum of money' in return," said TMZ.
"But a rep for Pique says it's all BS -- claiming there's no such plot."
The UK's Mirror also talked to an alleged source who belied the sex tape rumors.
"This is a very random report and completely untrue," the alleged source claimed.
Gerard Pique plays center back for FC Barcelona, which won the UEFA Champions League. Shakira and her two sons, Milan and baby Sasha, have been supporting the football player by showing up on his matches anytime they can.
In an earlier interview with The Sun, as shared by Mirror, Shakira gushed about boyfriend Gerard Pique.
"I've written many love songs for Gerard. But it's never enough. I feel that he deserves a million love songs written for him."
The sex tape rumor involving Shakira and Gerard Pique came on the heels of the suit filed against Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema for reportedly extorting money from his teammate, Matheiu Valbuena, over a racy video.
"Benzema was arrested by judicial police in Versailles, west of Paris, in connection with the case, although his lawyers insist he played 'no part' in the attempt to extort money from his fellow France international," said Daily Mail.
