The Queen of Dramas, Lee Bo Young, Receives The Grand Prize at KDA

The Queen of dramas, Lee Bo Young, received the grand prize at 2013 Korea Drama Awards (KDA) for her roles in KBS 2TV 'My Daughter Seo Young (Script, production HB Entertainment) and SBS 'I Can Hear Your Voice' (Script Park Hye Ryun, Production Jo Su Won). This is a result of superseding many competitions including Ko Hyun Jung in MBC's 'Queen Of The Classroom,' Kim Hye Su in KBS 2TV's 'God Of The Workplace,' Song Hye Kyo in SBS's 'That Winter That Wind Blows,' and Lee Jin Uk in tvN's 'Nine.'

The two dramas Lee Bo Young starred in produced high viewing rates, 'My Daughter Seo Young' 47.6% and 'I Can Hear Your Voice' 24.1%, respectively. Lee Bo Young said, "I appreciate this award so much, 2013 was personally an unbelievable year. Thank you all for your support, I will keep doing my best."

This was the sixth annual Korea Drama Awards, the one and only drama awards in Korea. During the ceremony, awards were given to TV drama actors and actresses for the past year including the three big broadcasting companies (KBS, SBS, and MBC), and cable channels.

The KDA ceremony was MC'd by Oh Sang Jin and a member of girl group Moon Sorbet, Subin, and lasted for two hours. Four Men and Moon Sorbet performed on stage as well.
