Ahn Sung Ki, "Sharon Stone Didn't Recognize Director Im Kwon Taek"

Ahn Sung Ki revealed a funny episode of director Im Kwon Taek, gathering laughter of everybody at the scene.

In the afternoon of October 8, 2013, an open talk show titled, "Im Kwon Taek and his actors," took place at the Movie Center located in U-dong of Haundae, Busan. During the day, director Im Kwon Taek, actors Ahn Sung Ki, Kang Su Yeon, Jo Jae Hyung and Park Jung Hoon attended the show and met the audience.

Ahn Sung Ki, during the talk show, revealed a funny episode of director Im Kwon Taek when he received the director's award for "Chui Hwa Seon" during the 55th Cannes movie festival in 2002.

He said, "When we are all gathered together after the award, we saw Sharon Stone about to get in the car and leave. She saw Choi Min Sik, got off the car, and said to him, 'Congratulations.' Usually actors observe other actors' faces very carefully, which is why I think she went to Choi Min Sik, not Im Kwon Taek who received the award."

Ahn Sung Ki added, "Choi Min Sik's eyes, after Sharon Stone approached her, rolled and rolled as if in the cartoons. But director Im Kwon Taek must have felt worse."

In Kwon Taek responded, "That's because Choi Min Sik is a good-looking actor and I'm a normal-looking director," making everybody in the show laugh.
