Google Santa Village: A Hub For Everything Christmas Is Now Live As Elves Prepare For Santa's Flight
Google launched on Wednesday through its official blog, Santa Village, a hub of activity for this holiday season. Thanksgiving has passed and now it is about Christmas.
According to Pocket-Lint, the Mountain View, California-based tech titan is an interesting company. When it is not engaged in moonshot projects, it draws fun doodles or hides easter eggs across its apps, sites and softwares. This Christmas, it develops cool holiday season experiences and puts the Google Santa Village for 2016 live with its annual promotion of the Santa Tracker app.
Google Santa Village counts down the days via the Santa Tracker toward Dec. 24 when Santa Claus will take off for his yearly mission. Until then, the elves work day and night in the village to prepare for Santa's flight. One can visit the hub to check on what the elves have in store for the day, weather conditions or holiday traditions across the world; or skydive with Santa and much more.
Anyone can join the elves in Google Santa Village as they prepare everything for the big night.
In Santa's village, one can take a break through elf-made tunes, color digital ornaments, learn about worldwide holiday traditions, refresh his computer skills with new coding games, check out new games, or be a Santa Claus to someone by giving to charitable organizations, such as, the Solar Aid, Jane Goodall Institute and the Nature Conservancy.
For instance, on Dec. 1, the activity was honing one's computer skills with a new coding game. There are more features to be unlocked each day. The Google Santa Village will add a fresh experience every morning between now till month end, Search Engine Land said.
The hub activities can be accessed on many displays as well - PCs, mobile devices via the Santa Tracker Android App, Android TV, Android Wear or even to the HDTV by casting the Android app with Chromecast, according to Pocket-Lint.
