The 2015 Best Games, Apps, TV Shows, Films, Books And Albums In Google Play Store - '25,' 'Fifty Shades Of Grey,' 'Interstellar', 'Game of Thrones' and More
Kara Bailey, Google Play Store director of merchandising posted on Google's official blog, the 2015 best in Google Play Store, or what has been popular in the store for this year.
This year has seen lots of films, music and events to remember by. TV fanatics were glued for the white walkers in the "Walking Dead," stay tuned to "Downton Abbey" or anxiously waited the next episode of "Game of Thrones." The music scene has Adele's works dominating again while people are swooning at Christian Grey.
Albums of the year include Adele's "25," Drake's "If You're Reading This It's Too Late," Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp A Butterfly," "Fifty Shades Of Grey," the original soundtrack of the film of the same title from various artists and The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind The Madness."
The 2015 best books in the Google Play Store include E L James' "Fifty Shades of Grey Book One" of the Fifty Shades Trilogy, E L James' "Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian," E L James' "Fifty Shades Darker: Book Two of the Fifty Shades Trilogy," E L James' "Fifty Shades Freed: Book Three of the Fifty Shades Trilogy" and Chris Kyle, Scott McEwen and Jim DeFelice's "American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History."
The popular movies of this year include "Interstellar," "Lucy," "American Sniper," "The Interview" and "Kingsman: The Secret Service."
For TV shows, "Game of Thrones," "The Walking Dead," "Downton Abbey," "Fear the Walking Dead" and "Vikings" are in the list.
According to PC Mag, it seems the bases of the 2015 best in the Google Play Store are popularity, ratings and download in their respective category. Android Police noted that Google's list of the best apps is based on geography, and may consider the "Made in" section.
Among the best games this year includes "Agar.io," "Fallout Shelter," "Crossy Road," "Angry Birds 2" and "Mortal Kombat X."
The 2015 best apps in the Google Play Store are HBO Now, We Heart It, YouTube Kids, Flipagram, Twitch and Showtime.
