It likewise inspired both companies to come up with the design of the Galaxy Gear S2 that boasts the powerful shape that is apart from the rectangular styles that came before it. The circular Gear S2 also comes with the analog design and was first unveiled at IFA, reported Samsung Newsroom.
Like the Galaxy Gear S2, the Gear VR also adopted the circular design so consumers get a new experience to watch content in 3D and with a 360-degree view. The circular shape also charmed not only tech products but the industries of fashion, entertainment and sports around the world.
On Nov. 28, Samsung partnered with BALR., a brand founded by three soccer players. Based in Netherlands, the fashion brand is inspired by luxury, comfort and simplicity in producing accessories and clothing. BALR is famous especially among millenials, with more than 700,000 Instagram fans and counting.
BALR. showcased Galaxy Gear S2 with its distinctive styles during the show and their collaboration gave a glimpse of what fashion and technology would be like in the future, said Managing Director Menno van den Berg at Samsung Electronics Benelux B.V. "Going forward, we will continue to feature technology unique to Samsung by merging IT devices with fashion." He stated.
Samsung has been working with known names in the world of fashion, said WearArena. BALR. was established by professional football players Eljero Elia, Demy de Zeeuw and Gregory van der Wiel.
"I can't believe Samsung makes such a fun device!" said Pedro Guedes, a participant in Samsung's Moche Rip Curl Pro event in October. As he took off the headset, he stated: "I feel as if I just came back from surfing!"
The circular shape is usually seen in designs of technology products but Galaxy Gear S2 and Gear VR showcase the fascination of the circular design. Aside from demonstrating the power of the world's most appealing shape, both of these products promise functionality as well.
