A VR version for "No Man's Sky" would definitely amp up interest for the game and the soundtrack is also in development as the release date is yet to be announced.
Previously, Sean Murray weighed in on the rumored VR release in an interview with Edge magazine, per Games Radar.
"I don't know what I'm allowed to say. It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe," he said. "I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way."
But Sean Murray, however, was mum on the exact release date for "No Man's Sky."
The problem with the release date, however, is the vastness of the universe of the game.
"Every planet in No Man's Sky is randomly generated via a mathematical formula," Alphr said. "None of the planets in the game are actually stored in the game download, or on the physical disk - instead, everything is constructed from a palette of composite parts that is decided via mathematics. Which is, it's fair to say, pretty mindblowing."
According to Movie Pilot, it would be insane for Hello Games to ignore the potential of gamers using VR to explore the universe of "No Man's Sky."
"It's clear that No Man's Sky is going to excel on its release date. Therefore, considering that this could be one of the most successful titles in 2016, how could you not want it to feature VR support?" it said.
Meanwhile, Hello Games has confirmed that it's now working on the soundtrack for the "No Man's Sky" album.
The release date for "No Man's Sky" is reported to be in June 2016 and all indications pointed that Hello Games will meet the target.
