Imaginary Cat

With much anticipation, Yoo Seung Ho has made his comeback to K-drama after the completion of his two-year mandatory military service.

In his new drama, "Imaginary Cat", Yoo Seung Ho stars as a strong-willed webtoon artist Hyun Jong Hyun who finds comfort in his chubby and lovable house cat Bok Gil.

"Imaginary Cat" is based on a popular Korean webtoon "The House Cat" and can be read in English via the global webtoon servicing platform www.spottoon.com .

The webtoon, "The House Cat," focuses more on Jong Hyun and Bok Gil's loving relationship with distinctively different perspectives and different ways of communicating with each other through understanding and caring for each other.

The drama, on the other hand, focuses more on Jong Hyun's life and the characters around him. Rookie actress Jo Hye-Jung, Actor Jo Jae-Hyun's daughter, plays Oh Na Woo. She creates a love line with Yoo Seung Ho in the drama. Jo Hye Jung was caught up in a controversy over her casting, as some suggested she got the role because of her famous father.

Do you think the characters fit the roles well?

Which version do you like better? Webtoon or Drama?

1. Hyu Jong-Hyun (Hyun)

To his cat Bok Gil, he is more of a house keeper and a human-cushion.

In the webtoon, Hyun struggles through his life while pursuing his dream as a webtoon artist, yet he is riddled with self-doubt and loneliness.

I think we all agree that Jong Hyun is definitely hotter in the drama than in webtoon.

2. Bok Gil (Jil)

Bok Gil is a chubby, loveable female cat that's rather sassy and blunt who thinks that she's the bigger person than her owner. She has a sad past of being abandoned by her previous owner.

3. Oh Na Woo

She's a cat lover, or "a crazy cat lady" according to Jong Hyun.

4. The Webtoon Producer

The producer demands that Jong Hyun create webtoons that sell, while Jong Hyun wants to be more creative and original with his work.

Quite different than in the webtoon "The House Cat", Right?

Which adaptation do you think pulled it off better?
