The dawn of a New Year often serves as a catalyst for weight loss and exercise.
So Ji Sub was praised for his strict diet, during a recent episode of tvN's compilation program, "The List 2016." So led the roster of celebrities, most of whom were in their mid to late thirties, through his inspirational daily dietary practices.
The 38-year-old star, who recently completed the role of Kim Young Ho, an acclaimed Hollywood trainer-turned-conglomerate head, continues to garner attention for his youthful physique.
An article published on January 11 by OSEN highlighted several unique aspects of the fitness regimen that helped to whip him into shape for "Oh My Venus," a role which required shirtless shots and rigorous Taekwondo spars with his co-star, Shin Min Ah.
In order to prepare for his K-Drama comeback, following a two-year absence after leading the Hong Sisters' series, "Master's Sun," he refrained from drinking alcohol and a carbohydrate-free diet which heavily relies on the consumption of chicken breast.
This led So Ji Sub to shed an average of 15 lbs or 7 kg. each month, for a half-year period.
34-year-old actress Cho Yeo Jeong (Divorce Laywers in Love, I Need Romance) who also transitioned from modeling to acting placed second on "The List," as an entertainer who transformed her lower body through systematic weight control and exercise including Pilates.
Cho Jin Woong (Deep Rooted Tree) was third on the compilation, after shedding the weight from his breakout role in the 2004 film, "My Brother." He experienced an astonishing transformation when he lost approximately 273 lbs. or 124 kg., after appearing in the movie, through intense aerobic exercise paired with fasting after 6 p.m., each night.
