The King: The Eternal Monarch Premiers This Coming 2020 on SBS TV

A story of a Korean emperor living one of this world and a police detective who lives a modern-day life. It is directed by the co-director of the Korean drama series "Descendants of the Sun" and "Moonlight Drawn By Clouds" who is Baek Sang-Hoon. 

Aside from that, the main leads that will play each character's role are Lee Min Ho, Kim Go Eun, and Woo Do Hwan. According to Lee Min Ho he will be working with the screenwriter Kim Eun Sook for this upcoming drama series.

 Although its tentative title is "The King: The Monarch Eternal Monarch", still the producers are ensuring the quality results for this drama series prior to the year it is expected to air. 

Knowing that Lee Min Ho previously worked with Kim Eun Sook in the 2013 drama series "The Heirs" along with their co-actors Park Shin Hye and Kim Woo Bin. 

Upon completing the mandatory military service last April 25, Lee Min Ho will now continue his first acting role since he was discharged from the South Korean military. 

Together with his lead stars after serving as a public service officer at the Suseo Social Welfare Center in Gangnam District Office South Korea. This drama series will be having a number of 16 episodes in total under SBS TV and the production company of Hwa&Dam Pictures Studio Dragon.

A mix of historical, fantasy and romance genres that will once again steal the heart of the fans of Lee Min Ho. Actress Kim Go Eun also previously worked with the screenwriter Kim En Sook in the 2016 drama series "Goblin". 

In her role, she will be the one to protect the lives of the people and the person she actually loves. Lee Min Ho as the Korean Emperor will try to close the doors to the parallel world that viewers must wait to watch what will happen between the two. 

The drama series depicts a connection between the two worlds which is explained to be the parallel ones. A god released dark forces towards humans and these dark forces opened the doors between two worlds.
