Ku Hye Sun to Enter a Short Film Festival with Her "Mystery Pink"
Despite actress Ku Hye Sun's failure in her marriage, life must go on and the actress takes her step by resuming her career as a director of films.
Ku Hye Sun's "Mystery Pink" will be entering the short film festival, "Domestic Competition 5: DayDreaming on Rainy Days" section of the 11th Seoul International Ultra Short Film Festival held in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul from 3rd to 8th.
Fans and viewers as well were anticipating this movie selection and a nomination for the story will revolve around the autobiography of the actress herself, Ku Hye Sun.
'Mystery Pink' is a short film that talks about unilateral and observer's viewpoint and the destructive mystery of love in space-time and pink color.
The running time of the short film only takes 10 minutes but it was full of Ku Hye Sun's words and thoughts. The actress wrote the script, produce the film as well as directed "Mystery Pink" .
The story focuses on the genre of melodrama, mystery, thriller and horror. During the creation of the script of the short film, Ku Hye Sun shared that she pen the film while thinking a lot about herself when she was diagnosed and admitting for suffering allergic digestive disorder anaphylaxis in 2017.
Following the production of the film, she also organized and opened an exhibition for "Mystery Pink" following her first exhibition "Dark Yellow" showing the process they undergo while creating the short film.
In the short film, Seo Hyun-jin, Yoon Da-Jeong, Hyun Seung-min, Park Jung-Sook, and Yang Dong-Geun made an appearance for the film.
The actress makes her debut as a film director on 2010, upon directing her short film, "The Madonna" whose story revolves around an assisted suicide where she marks her name as a director when the short film won "Spotlight Award" at the 12th Short Shorts Film Festival held on 2010 at Tokyo.
Due to the actress's interest in music and arts, even though it's not her dream to become a filmmaker her love for these things leads her to create her own films.
