Successful Finale of "Hotel Del Luna": Possibility of Season 2?
On the finale episode of "Hotel Del Luna", Kim Soo Hyun who made an appearance for the drama appeared on the epilogue scene.
During the last few scenes, Mago shin, the deity of the afterlife was heard talking as a background saying,
"The new moon is filled with a surprising new owner." Which the owner of the Hotel Del Luna, Jang Man Weol(IU) left for the afterlife as well as the staff of the hotel.
It was also seen that a signage board of the hotel, when lit, was changed into "Hotel Blue Moon" as well as fans reacted upon seeing the actor Kim Soo Hyun wearing a suit and a glass and afterwards says, "The moon is up, let us start our business" pertaining that he is the possible new owner of the hotel.
Due to this, the fans and viewers draw attention to the possible season 2 of the drama which has a possible title of "Hotel Blue Moon" but on September 2, the producers and staff as well as the director deny the suspicion for a Season 2.
On the other hand, viewers expressed their various opinions and critics for the open ending of the drama. Some were sad, but some were happy that the two lead casts got a happy ending.
On the final episode, it was revealed that Mago Shin and Grim reaper was the one who found Jang Man Weol. Jang Man Weol was a saved child of a murdered family. It was also revealed how Ku Chang Sung's life was connected to Jang Man Weol. Fans expresses their bittersweet feelings as the two were seen in the past episodes having a good romance but it didn't last and they have to let go.
But, the two characters spend their limited time with each other, ignoring the crisis they were about to face, letting go of each other. Ku Chan Sung and Jang Man Weol walked into the restaurant of Kim Joon Hyun, as well as talked about how Jang Man Weol ends up having interest to the celebrity.
The characters of the drama also have a commemorative photo of them inside Hotel Del Luna.
Overall, the drama end up having a good ending, which satisfies the viewers by giving them a mix of smiles, laughs, and tears.
