Was There Really Romance Between Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young?
Actor Park Hyung Sik declared that his feelings for his leading lady Park Bo Young in the drama "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon," were true. He expressed to the actress that he really did admire her.
To Park Hyung Sik, the actress was very lovable and that she was truly the embodiment of Do Bong Soon, Park Bo Young's character in the 2017 series. He added that the actress' character made it easier for the leading man to love her.
"Park Bo Young-noona, I really loved you. You were that lovable. You were truly Bong Soon. Because you were the perfect Bong Soon, it was so natural for me to love you. I wanted to love you more but I'm sad it's over," Park Hyung Sik said in an interview in 2017.
The on-screen couple garnered a lot of attention even after "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" concluded a long time ago. And because of their irresistible chemistry on TV, dating rumors sparked and heaps of shippers still want them to date in real life.
Further, Park Hyung Sik confessed that he developed romantic feelings for his leading lady while filming the drama. He added that she became his deciding factor to portray Ahn Min Hyuk. The actor was then asked about the reason why he chose this project, and he admitted that it was because of the character's and Do Bong Soon's charming personality.
"I felt that it would be stupid of me to say no to this kind of project. And then I learned that my co-star would be actress Park Bo Young, which is when I decided that I absolutely had to do this project. Everyone around me was very jealous."
Park Hyung Sik also recounted that when he learned that he was going to headline the series with Park Bo Young, that was the time that he became firm with his decision and said that he definitely had to do this project. He explained that he loved the role he portrayed in "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" since he believes the emotions he exerted made his performance the very best yet.
His character as Ahn Min Hyuk fell in love at first sight with Do Bong Soon, but his confession spoke volumes about his genuine feelings for his co-star. This only means that he was not only giving life to his character but was also channeling his inner admiration to Park Bo Young. Thus, their kissing scenes came out naturally and beautiful as these were sprinkled with genuineness.
Meanwhile, Park Bo Young also revealed that she honestly could have fallen easily for Park Hyung Sik because of the way he looked at her. The actress shared that he has a sweet gaze that if he had just stared at her like that, he could easily sweep her off of her feet. However, the actress shared that the actor gave the same glances at the staff and the director of the drama the same way he did to her.
Three years later, the series' fans are still looking forward for the fairytale couple to end up together. Park Bo Young's last drama was "Abyss" in 2019, while Park Hyung Sik's last projects were the Korean adaptation of the legal series "Suits" and legal film "Juror 8" before enlisting in June of the same year.
