"Rugal" Recap: Kang Gi Beum Meets Hwang Deuk Goo for The Second Time

Gwang Cheol surpassed the surgery performed by Dr. Oh. The team arrived in the junkyard in time after Gwang Cheol lost the battery to support his body. They rescued him from being captured by Deuk Goo's men. In the headquarters, Geun Cheol called a meeting for the team. Gwang Cheol stayed in his room to recover from his operation. Gi Beum woke up in a bad dream that made him think of its meaning.

Geun Cheol gave new updates after what happened between Argos. He lost one of his spy agents, Min Jung, in Deuk Goo's hand. He sent Gi Beum and the remaining team on a mission.

Meanwhile, Ye Won called the Argos stakeholders to give updates about Min Jun. During the meeting, Deuk Goo arrived and discussed how they found Min Jun's secret profile. Argo's member Choi Yong showed his dislike of Deuk Goo's leadership in handling the operations. Man Cheol (Argo's member) gives his unfavorable opinion of Deuk Goo as well. After the meeting, Deuk Goo stayed in Ye Won's house to check on the videos they got from the jazz bar. Choi Young and Man Cheol stepped inside and tried to shoot Deuk Goo. But to their surprise, Deuk Goo moved faster and put the men down.

Gi Beum was on a mission to meet Ye Won. She contracted Gi Beum on a part-time basis to be her assassin, to protect her in case she encounters problems in the future. Gi Beum accepted her offer and gave his number. Ye Won gave him a sum of money and asked him to always check his phone.

The second project Gi Beum went to is the junkyard where they found and rescued Gwang Cheol. Gi Beum, Tae Woong and Mi Na meet in the junkyard from different tasks. They looked for the trailer freezer where Gwang Cheol was imprisoned. They recovered dead bodies from victims and zombies Deuk Goo experimented on in his laboratory.

Meanwhile, Deuk Goo took Choi Young (Argos) to his laboratory and extorted him. Choi Young gave an address of the money he hides from the organization.

The next day, Gi Beum and the Rugal team took on a mission in exposing a warehouse. They discover more bodies hidden in trailers used as freezers. They got inside a trailer and found Mr. Lee. He is one of the musicians in the jazz bar.

Before they could go out, the men from Argos locked them up. It was a thick and customized door. The only way to open the door is to put a bomb and blast it off. Gi Beum suggested using one of the mechanical body parts to configure it as a bomb. Tae Woong offered to use his arms instead.

Gi Beum pulled out his right arm and transformed it into a bomb. It blew the steel door as Gi Beum threw it out of the door. The door exploded and opened the way for them to escape. Mi Na hurriedly transported Tae Woong to Dr. Oh's hospital. Dr. Oh, with Bradley, prepared the surgery right away as Tae Woong lost more blood.

Ge Beum searched more of the warehouse and found Deuk Goo's hidden laboratory. He tried to hide but Deuk Goo was fast to track his path. Deuk Goo summoned Gi Beum to fight and save his life. He revealed Min Jung as one of his experiments. He transformed Min Jung's body into a fighter controlled by artificial parts wired through his brain. Gi Beum was shocked to see Min Jung alive physically, although he was not in his right state of mind.

Geun Cheol tried to contact and track Gi Beum but they couldn't get hold of him. Gi Beum turned off his camera for them to view and connect with the headquarters.
