"Hospital Playlist" Recap: Doctors Experience Failures Too

Jung Won performed the liver transplant with his team through the match wasn't exact. He values the life of the baby and the donor, and delaying the surgery would affect the child. Chances of survival would be less, and the donor's liver is larger than expected, but he will resize to the baby's fit. The operation went well and Jung Won was happy to inform the parents of the baby.

The resident doctors are doing all their rounds and tasks in their respective departments. It's a lot of work since they cover all the patients on the floor. They gather during lunchtime in the cafeteria with Dr. Bong and have fun knowing more about the five doctors. This time, Dr. Bong shared about the doctor's previous relationships and their life during college.

Resident Chi Yong will perform a major EVD surgery, and Song Hwa will oversee the procedures. On that day, Chi Yong made a few lapses but Song Hwa assisted him and avoided scolding him during the operation. Resident Chi Yong felt disappointed with the outcome, but his fellow doctors comforted him and told him not to worry too much.

Jung Wan performed surgery with difficulty, but he made it through with determination. Resident He Jak supported him throughout, even as they explained to the guardians. The doctors are busy this week. They performed major surgery almost every day.

Jung Wan happily went out on a date with Ik Soon. He would travel to the province, meet Ik Soon and eat spicy noodles.

Ik Jun cares for his patient that he would worry if they are not taking their medications. He makes it a point to watch over them even after their surgery. One of his patients, after the liver transplant, chose to die as her husband cheated on her. But Ik Jun tried his best to let the patient understand.

He visited the patient after his shift and shared with her about his recent divorce journey. Even with his status as a doctor, born with a good background, Ik Jun experienced hardships in life. His wife cheated with his friend, and now he is taking care of his son alone. The patient admired Ik Jun's honesty. She took the medicine and drank it right away.

The five doctors spend dinner outside using Jung Wan's new car. They are all amazed who would be his new lady that he's crazy with lately. They all teased him though they never got the chance to get the name. At dinner time, they talked about Suk Hyung's father, who is now admitted to the hospital with no health issues. His father is avoiding the court summons, hence admitted himself to the hospital. Suk Hyung knew about this and wished to let his mother know about the situation. The doctors advised him to let his mother know and proceed to file for divorce.

Resident Gyeo Wool bravely asked Jung Won for a dinner date. Jung Won was surprised but agreed to go out with her.

Song Hwa admired Chi Yong's diligence to pursue being a doctor. She knew about Chi Yong's health condition and why he resigned in the military. That is why Song Hwa prefers not to reprimand him always instead and teaches him more what to do.

Suk Hyung's mother arrived at the hospital and barged in her husband's VIP room. She brought a bucket of water and splashed it on her husband's mistress. She demanded her husband to leave the hospital and not to humiliate their son as a doctor with his estranged father and mistress in one room.

Suk Hyung arrived and helped his mother walked out of the room. That evening, his good friends came and they practiced with their band to ease out the pain.
