"Rugal" Recap: Gi Beum Comes Face to Face With His Wife

Gi Beum forced Deuk Goo to know where his wife is. He threw several hits at Deuk Goo, but he didn't reveal anything. Deuk Goo found the lady that looks like Yeo Jin on the dark web. He asked his men to take care and hide her away from the Rugal team.

Tae Woong, Mi Na, and Gwang Cheol made several plans on how to trace Yeo Jin's whereabouts. Gi Beum's AI eyes searched the area from Deuk Goo's video. It shows that Yeo Jin is alive. Gi Beum shared the information with Tae Woong.

Choi Yong sent his men to the station to kill Deuk Goo. The policemen also covered and opened Deuk Goo's cell. They didn't win, and Deuk Goo killed them all. Ye Won visited Deuk Goo and questioned his plans for turning himself in to the police, but he advised her not to mingle with his plans.

Mi Na and Gwang Cheol made several transactions through the dark web to find the leads of Yeo Jin. The people they talked to did not have any clues of Yeo Jin. Tae Woong let Gi Beum work on his own while he met the team. They decided to help Gi Beum find his wife and to give him peace.

Detective Yang and his men plan to transfer Deuk Goo to another prison site. They traveled using the police van. Gi Beum learned about it and followed them. He fought with the police and uncuffed Gi Beum. He made deals with Deuk Goo to release him and lead him to Yeo Jin. Deuk Goo tried to block Gi Beum, but his men lost in a fight with Tae Woong's help.

Deuk Goo reached the place where he hides Yeo Jin. Gi Beum finds him using the tracking device he placed in Deuk Goo's car. Gi Beum came face to face with Yeo Jin in a vacant lot. Deuk Goo hid in one of the buildings. He planned to kill Gi Beum using his snipers, but Mi Na and Gwang Cheol arrive to stop him. They traced Gi Beum using the Gwang Cheol's drone tracker. Deuk Goo left the place and escaped using his private car.

On their way out of the place, Yeo Jin got scared and guilty of meeting Gi Beum. Deuk Goo talked about Yeo Jin's past and her work that caused Gi Beum's miserable life. She saw a car coming her way and ran towards the car. She intended to kill herself and die in front of Gi Beum's eyes. Gi Beum cried out loud, looking at Yeo Jin's body. His AI eyes shut off, and he fainted beside her.

The Rugal team brought Gi Beum and Yeo Jin to HQ. Bradley helped to fix Gi Beum's AI eyes and clean Yeo Jin's dead body.

Geun Chul met the Rugal team and asked about Yeo Jin. Tae Woong asked him what information he had about Yeo Jin. Geun Chul admitted to the team what happened the night Yeo Jin and Gi Beum's incident where he lost his eyes and she was declared dead.

Geun Chul instructed detective Yang to inject a sedative in Yeo Jin to make her unconscious. They played the murdered case to keep the couple alive from Argos. They never realized that one of Argos' men would take out Gi Beum's eyes.

Yeo Jin was admitted to the hospital and recovered from the accident. She ran away from Geun Chul, scared of what would happen to her. He tried to look for Yeo Jin but to no avail. 

Geun Chul monitored and helped Gi Beum survive. He made it possible to operate and attached AI eyes to GI Beum with Dr. Oh's help. He never shared with Gi Beum about Yeo Jin after what happened.

Before Yeo Jin's attempt to end her life, Deuk Goo told Gi Beum about what Geun Chul did to his family. He made Gi Beum believe that Geun Chul planned everything about destroying his family to work with the Rugal team.
