"Rugal" Finale Recap: Good Friends 'Til The End
Tae Woong discovered that executive director Choi and Chief Geun Chul are responsible for using them as test subjects. Eventually, the experiments become successful and made them the "Rugal team."
Tae Woong blew a strong punch to both directors, in his revenge for killing their families in sacrifice for the rugal team members' existence. Deuk Goo abducted Gwang Cheol, and they injected him the vial for super strength. They held him hostage at Deuk Goo's secret laboratory.
Gi Beum rescued Ye-won, and on their way, they met Gwang Cheol looking indifferent. He attacked Gi Beum and fought with him. He hit hard and stronger with his strikes. Gi Beum tried to save Gwang Cheol by pressing hard on his head to take out the effect of the vial, and Gwang Cheol slowly recovered but too weak to make any movements.
Dr. Oh escaped from Deuk Goo's men and waited for any rescue outside the building. Mi Na found him, and as they headed out, they were attacked and outnumbered. Mi Na got stabbed as Tae Woong arrived to rescue her. He secured his wounded teammates and Dr. Oh in a Van. He instructed them not to go directly to the HQ as he looked for Gi Beum. Gi Beum advised Bradley to get medicines and meet Dr. Oh in the city.
Deuk Goo injected himself the super-strength vial and headed to the HQ team. He wanted to put an end to the Rugal team and Dr. Oh. Gi Beum learned about it and met him there. They engaged in a scuffle and threw strong punches against each other, but Gi Beum used a sharp object that stabbed Deuk Goo's throat. He fell as blood came out of his neck, which left him unconscious.
Detective Yang and his team arrived at the HQ to arrest Argos men in the area. The Rugal team met him, and they provided all the details for the investigations. Gi Beum went to Ye Won's residence together with the police. They arrested her for the murder of Chairman Go Kyung. Deuk Goo was arrested for various charges with life imprisonment. Deuk Goo's secret lab was closed, and the doctors and armed men were all apprehended.
The team parted ways as they wished to start anew. Gi Beum opened a security agency, while Gwang Cheol now owns a factory business, in which Tae Woong joined him after serving a few years in jail. Mi Na stayed low-key while trying to rediscover her inner strength.
A few government leaders are still discussing putting a new special force team, but they have problems with the test subjects. Chief Choi killed himself after he lost the chance to defend himself from the team.
Gwang Cheol missed Gi Beum and Mi Na. He shared with Tae Woong how they all shared pains and heartaches as they protect the people. He soon thought that they came together with a purpose and destined to be good friends. Gi Beum learned that Tae Woong was out of jail, and he headed out to give them a surprise visit.
